When are you my/my child's psychiatrist?
Only after the completion of the initial consultation, if we determine mutually that this is a good fit. Our initial contact and consultation does not constitute a doctor-patient relationship. We can provide refills only after you become an established patient in our practice.
How frequently do I/my child need (s) to be seen?
Depending on your needs, you can be seen up to 2-3 times/week depending on Dr. Zalpuri's availability. If needs are beyond this, Dr. Zalpuri may recommend a higher level of care. You need to be seen at least once/3 months to be able to remain in her practice to ensure adequate monitoring.
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance. However, a receipt for services rendered may be provided. This would allow you to submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please refer to our Services Offered and Fee page for more details.
Do you offer in person visits?
No - at this time our practice is telehealth only. At your initial call, Dr. Zalpuri will help determine if you are a good fit for telepsychiatry.
Do you provide emergency services?
No - given the scope of our practice, we are unable to provide emergency or crisis services. For crisis support, please call 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or 911 for emergency services or visit your nearest emergency room.
